I read beauty in someone as a whole. That's the kind that attracts me. And others. And that's the one I go for. It’s presence - not just aesthetics. Appearance does matter. Just not on its own. The outside usually tells most of what I care about on the inside. You can see how someone thinks by how they present themselves. Their values, their priorities, their habits - it’s all there. That’s why it’s hard to explain why we’re attracted to someone sometimes. Our minds try to justify what our bodies have already decided. The body knows when something is off. When it’s just surface. And it also knows when the person is actually well and healthy, not just trying to look like it. And I'm not talking about standardized beauty. I'm talking about people who invest in themselves and do the best they can with what they have. Most people who think of themselves “ugly”, aren’t ugly. They’re just not living up to what they could be. Not because they don’t care, but because no one really taught them how to make better choices. And those things are not exclusive for a selected few favorites of god. Those things are learned. It's not about spending more. It's about spending right. And this is where beauty stops being vanity and becomes something else. Because when someone is truly well put together, not just visually but as a presence, it changes the environment around them. People soften. They pay more attention. They raise their own standard a little. I genuinely believe beauty has this power to uplift the world. And by doing your part, you’re serving us all. |
